Moorina interpretation marker

Moorina interpretation marker

At the cemetary at Moorina there is a memorial erected by the remaining Chinese community to the Chinese miner’s who remain buried there, and a restored burning tower overlooking the picturesque valley. There is also an interpretation marker where you can learn more about the once thriving transport hub where it was ‘wet enough to bog a duck!’, why the European graves all face east while the Chinese graves face west, and the intriguing ritual of the second burial.
